New iPhone app launched for Sydney and other Ashes host cities

Cricket lovers looking to book cheap flights to Sydney in order to watch the 2010-11
Ashes may be interested in the launch of a new iPhone application.
Released by Tourism Australia, the Go Ashes! app contains in-depth information on
the five cities, including Sydney, that will play host to the classic cricket series
between Australia and England.
As well as learning more about what to see and do in each city, the app allows users
to catch up on the latest team news and get live scores sent straight to their phone.
"Attending a sporting event of this calibre as part of an Aussie holiday is
an incredible thing to do," states Rodney Harrex, general manager for Tourism
Australia in the UK and Europe, adding that travelling fans should also try "iconic
Aussie experiences" such as wine tasting and surfing.
Sydney is the location for the fifth and final Ashes game and takes place between
January 3rd and 7th 2011.
